Why use Moonya from Claude
Most social media work is not hard, it is scattered: an idea in one place, the design in another, the scheduler in a third. With Moonya connected, Claude becomes the place where all of it happens. What you can do from Claude
These are the things the Moonya connector actually exposes to Claude. Every tool is listed in plain language in the MCP documentation.
- Brand Brain. Read and update what Moonya knows about your brand, analyse your website, add a PDF or DOCX brand document and save rules every future post follows.
- Posts and drafts. Get topic ideas, then create carousels, single image posts and Stories from a topic or from your own text. The slides come back as images.
- Review and schedule. Edit captions, hashtags and slide text, rewrite a draft from a plain instruction, change a slide photo, then approve, schedule, skip or move posts, up to 30 at once.
- Your own photos and videos. Use your Gallery, schedule up to 10 of your own photos at once and invite up to 3 Instagram collaborators on a feed post, carousel or Reel.
- Automations. Recurring post automations that create drafts on a schedule, plus comment-to-DM automations for Instagram and Facebook with results.
- Inbox and analytics. Read messages, comments and reviews, reply as the brand after you approve the exact text, and see reach, engagement, best time and top posts.
- Video. Reels from your clips or photos with a voiceover, a talking AI presenter and animated explainers: you see the script and the credit price before anything renders. Video tools appear when video is enabled for your workspace.
- Agencies. On the Agency plan one connection can cover all client brands. Say which brand you mean and Moonya switches, keeping brands strictly separate.
Connect Moonya to Claude in 3 steps
Before you start
- A Moonya account with an active plan or the 7-day trial for $1. Every plan includes the AI assistant connector.
- Claude with access to custom connectors. You sign in to Moonya in a window during setup, so there is no key to copy.
- To publish, at least one social network connected in Moonya. Drafts work without one.
Claude (web, desktop and Cowork)
- In Claude open Customize → Connectors → "Add custom connector" (Settings → Connectors in older versions)
- Paste the address below and click "Add"
- Click "Connect" – the Moonya sign-in opens, pick the workspace and click "Allow"

Things to ask in Claude
Write in your own words, in English or Serbian. Here is what happens behind each request.
“What happened in Moonya since yesterday, and what is waiting for my approval?”
Moonya returns new drafts, published posts and anything that failed, then shows the slides of each waiting draft as images.
“Here are my notes from today's workshop. Turn them into an Instagram carousel and post it to LinkedIn too.”
Moonya tells you the credit cost, waits for your yes and builds one carousel draft using only facts from your notes. It takes 2 to 4 minutes and the slides appear in the chat.
“Plan next week for me: three posts and one Story. Show me the topics before you create anything.”
Claude suggests topics from your Brand Brain, you pick, and Moonya creates the drafts you chose.
“Make a 30-second Reel from my five newest gallery photos with a calm voiceover.”
Moonya writes the script, shows it scene by scene with the render price and renders only after you approve.
“When someone comments GUIDE on Instagram, send them the link to our free guide.”
Moonya creates the comment-to-DM automation and shows the exact message people will receive.
Your photos and videos
Claude can see files you attach to a chat, but it cannot hand a file from your computer to Moonya. Put your photos and videos in the Moonya Gallery first (drag and drop them in the app), then ask Claude to use them: "schedule my three newest gallery photos for this week". A photo from a public link also works directly in the chat.
Good to know
- Nothing is published without your approval. New posts and videos are drafts. They go out only after you approve or schedule them, in Claude or in the Moonya app.
- Credits are confirmed first. Tools that cost credits tell you the exact cost and wait for your yes. A repeated request never charges twice. Drafts take 2 to 4 minutes, and Claude checks back until the draft is ready.
- Irreversible actions ask first. Publishing right now, deleting and replying to a message, comment or review need your confirmation.
- Posting limits protect your accounts. Moonya spaces out posts on the same network and moves a post to the nearest safe time when needed, and tells you why.
- Plans. The connector is included in Starter ($29), Pro ($79) and Agency ($199) per month, each with a 7-day trial for $1. Some video formats unlock once the trial ends and the plan is paid. See pricing.
- You stay in control of access. Remove the connector in Claude or revoke access in Moonya under Settings, AI assistants (MCP) at any time. Moonya does not read your chat history.
Troubleshooting
- Moonya does not appear in the chat. Start a new conversation and check that Moonya is turned on in the chat's tools menu. Claude loads a connector's tools when a conversation starts.
- You cannot add a custom connector. What you can add depends on your Claude plan, and in team or company accounts on your admin. Ask the admin to allow custom connectors.
- The sign-in window does not open. Allow pop-ups for claude.ai and click Connect again. You sign in on moonya.ai, never inside the chat.
- A tool returns an error. Moonya explains the fix in plain words and gives a link when the fix needs the browser, for example connecting a network or billing.
FAQ
Do I need an API key to use Moonya in Claude?
No. Claude connects with a normal Moonya sign-in: add the connector address, sign in on moonya.ai, pick the workspace and click Allow. API keys are only for developer tools.
Does it work in the Claude desktop app and Cowork?
Yes. The same custom connector works in Claude on the web, in the desktop app and in Cowork.
Can Claude publish a post without asking me?
No. New posts are drafts. They go out only after you approve or schedule them, and publishing right now needs an extra confirmation.
What does it cost to use Moonya from Claude?
